Quick Catch-Up

Still here. But my computer is not. The first few weeks of deployment have brought me a broken laptop (my only computer at the time and actually not mine, but the school's), two days home with a feverish Liam, sleepless nights with George (except the one where he did go from 11 until 6 and Liam got up that night instead), broken blinkers on the car, report cards and other such nonsense from work, and shots for George.

The good news: Liam is such a trooper.

The past few weeks, he has offered to cook me dinner:

Day 14: Liam cooks for me while I nurse G to sleep.

Taken it upon himself to begin washing himself (I do his hair still):

Day 10: Tubby Time!

Sat quietly and whispered stories to me while I nursed G to sleep:

Day 11: Scheming his next plot

And has made me smile when we both are missing Daddy:

Day 8: Goodnight Snuggles with "Daddy"

I just love him more and more each day. Like today, when the poor guy had to be dragged to the bank so I could visit one of those coin counting machines for a Relay for Life fundraiser for my school. Not only did he help me put the change in the machine and press all the buttons (he actually loved this), but when George got fussy through the entire 30 minute process, he held G's paci in for him and rocked the carseat and quieted George down.

Honestly, Liam rocks! However, I think all this helping has really worn him out:

Day 9: Soooo sleepy!

The other piece of good news: I finally got an Apple desktop and we've been able to video chat with Daddy each day:

Day 15: Yay....our new iMac is here!
